The more I learn about the Fair Tax, the more I like it. Missouri is in a unique position to lead the states in implementing a Missouri Fair Tax, which would eliminate state income tax and replace revenue with a broad-based sales tax.
Ed Emery explains several of the reasons that so many people are working diligently to advance the Fair Tax: the potential economic growth, keeping government spending in line with what families are spending, decreasing tax burden without losing important state services, and vastly reducing the complexity of the state tax system.
